When financial trouble hits, it’s easy to feel alone. When in debt, it can often seem like no one is able to help, and no one wants to. Local debt counselling charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) has recently launched its new project in partnership with Dickens Heath Church - a service aiming to help people begin their journey towards financial freedom.

Terry Stableford (Debt Coach) and Pam Stableford (Debt Centre Manager)

Experience has shown that there is always a way out of financial debt, and no debt is too big or too small to deal with. CAP is on hand to help those experiencing debt problems to manage their financial difficulties by providing expert advice, free of charge regardless of age, faith, gender or background.

CAP differs from other similar services, as the volunteers visit clients in the comfort of their own homes. By negotiating with creditors and supporting people right up until they are debt free, CAP ensures they stand by their clients every step of the way.

With over 306 CAP Debt Centres across the UK, the project has proven very successful. Now available in Solihull, CAP provides local people access to the service. TV’s Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has highly recommended the service, recognising the dedication of CAP staff and volunteers, and the positive impact counselling can have.

Solihull CAP Centre Manager, Pam Stableford said, “Every week we see people who think that there is no way out of their money problems and every week we offer them a solution that really works. If you are struggling with debt then there is hope. We can help you.”

Don’t be left feeling helpless.
